Finals are over with! I think I did ok, I goofed on some questions but my final projects went fine. Well day after tomorrow Clayton and I fly back home to Wales for Christmas, can't wait. I'm in a mad dash trying to get things ready. Had my hair and nails done yesterday so I'm all pretty :)

Today I volunteered at the local museum for the Christmas crafts day, it was fun. Santa came hehe, got me all in the Christmas spirit which doesn't take that much.

Just thought I'd write a quick post to wish everyone a Merry Christmas before we left. I'm looking forward to seeing my family & friends again.

I've never done a post like this before but I just feel I want to get what I'm feeling off my mind. Since I can remember I've had a problem with my weight. I probably started putting on most of my weight by about the age of 10yrs and it's snowballed ever since. When I was young I was thin, looking at the family movies I wished my weight never changed. Now knowing that it was due to my Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. It helps that I know the reason but it doesn't make me happy. Before I met Clayton I was at my highest weight, I was determined to look good and I lost about 30lbs I was a size 14/16 when I met Clayton in person. Now sadly I've put most of it back on again.

Yesterday made me feel so fat, I went round to 5 different stores to find a winter jacket that would fit me. I'm about an XL and even those Jackets wouldn't fit me, I know some of it is down too different clothes makers but it made me feel so fat when I had to get a 2x.

As most of you all know I'm going back to Wales for Christmas, I don't know why but I feel really anxious to see my family and friends again. The main reason my weight gain, I know everyone loves me for me. But I guess I'm really ashamed that I've gotten this bad again, not that I pig out on food everyday. I do watch what eat but I'm not as strict as I should be with the diet and exercise.

I guess the never ending battle with my weight will keep going and going and going and going.

I'm still alive- barely! This quarter has been hard work, I can't wait till it's over 3 more weeks! I'm only taking 3 classes, the streaming media class is taking a lot out me. It's more like a cinematography class, we have to write a script and go through the whole process in putting it into production. We shot our first couple of scenes on Saturday and tomorrow and Wednesday we do the rest. Next quarter I'm taking 5 classes just so I can graduate, that's going to be hard work.

It's exactly 4wks yesterday that we arrive in Wales! Clayton and I are really excited we have so many plans with my family. Right now we are both excited for a long break also. I bought a small Christmas tree that lights up the other day, it's already sitting in my living room. I'm just getting really festive!

Looks like we have a plan after my graduation in March. Clayton and I have been talking and our move to Texas might be brought forward by a year. If I can't continue with school here then I need to get a job, and seeming decent jobs are in big city's we need to relocate. Clayton can transfer anywhere in his company, so if I can get a job somewhere in Fort Worth or Dallas Texas. Then it's goodbye Washington State, hello Texas. It's not going to be easy finding a job seeming we'll be so far away from the job location. But I'm sure it can be done. If I don't get a job then we'll just continue with our plan for 2009.

Christmas isn't far away, I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with my family.

I'm back in College, and summer is officially over. My new job at the college library is going pretty well and my classes are going great. This quarter I'm taking Web Design, Flash and a Streaming Media class. It's strange to think I have one more quarter after this and I graduate, it only seems like yesterday when I was taking the big step and going back to college. I have tried to stay another year I would have liked to have done the Publication side of the degree but Financial aid will not cover those classes for me. So, now I'm sitting here thinking of what I should do next, before I know it April will be here. At the moment I'm on the hunt for a nice second hand Apple G4 Laptop and the Adobe suite package for me to do some independent work while I look for a job.

Now that I'm doing so well in College, I really don't want to leave. I'm a little bit upset that I'll be leaving so soon. I could go and do a higher degree but I can't afford the tuition fees, Clayton has already got a Student loan so we don't want two over our heads. I've looked into scholarships but nothing comes close to what I need.

Other news we went to Canada to the Beach for the day, had a great time relaxing and having fun. We both caught the sun pretty bad served are right really! Enjoying my time off before I go back to college on the 24th September.

I was tagged by Stefanie..

Four jobs I’ve had:
1. Cashier at Bath & Body Works, left after 2 months after I realized I was only getting 5hrs of work a week.
2. Toddler teacher at Kids World a daycare. Worked full time for them for 8 months, I then decided I wanted to go back to school.
3. Cashier/Customer Service at Tube Time a kids fun play area. I worked there for about a year before I got a job at the local museum in town.
4. Museum educational programs assistant I also have worked here for a year before I was offered a wonderful opportunity.

Last Tuesday I was offered a job at the College Library as a Graphic Designer it all happened so fast. Monday afternoon I got an email from my Graphic Design teacher saying there was a position open, so I called and got an interview for Tuesday morning. I took my portfolio of work into the interview; which they loved. The interview went extremely well and they offered me the job. I'm sad I'll be leaving the Museum but this position is right on campus and is in my line of work, I'm grateful for the experience.

Four movies I can watch over and over:
1. The Labyrinth
2. Rat Race
3. Love Actually
4. Just Married

Four countries I have been to:
1. Canada
2. USA
3. Great Britain
4. Netherlands - Stopped over via plane.

Four places I’d rather be right now:
1. Back in Wales eating Fish n Chips.
2. In Las Vegas, was hoping to go for a couple of days but found out we couldn't afford the trip.
3. In my new job.
4. Fast Forward 5 years, both of us in good jobs and looking for a home to start a family.

Four foods I like to eat:
1. Artichoke hearts- Lately I've had a thing for these.
2. Cheese
3. Bread- Fresh Baked.
4. Chocolate- I know I'm bad.

Four places I have lived:
1. Well there's only been 2 places.
2. Wales United Kingdom
3. Washington USA.
4. Hopefully Texas if our plans work out.

Four bloggers I’m tagging:
1. Sarah: http://jomarise.blogspot.com/
2. Valarie http://eat-sleep-ride.blogspot.com/
3. Erin http://www.agringasgiggles.blogspot.com/
4. Girl http://www.girlinamsterdam.blogspot.com/

Other than my new job what's been going on in my life.. finished school for the summer I now have about 5 weeks off I go back to school and my new job September 24th. I'm thinking I got an A out of my Typography class. Clayton and I went to the local country fair yesterday, it was great had good time. The fair rides were cool, we played bingo, watched many animal shows. In the evening we went to the country concert of George Canyon and Clay Walker. We enjoyed our date to the fair. Today Clayton and I have snuggled on the sofa and watched movies all day.

Tomorrow I take Coal-Dust in for her appointment to be spayed, so she's going to be sore for the next 10 days.

Anyone know anything about gardening? I've somewhat become a green finger this year and have gone all out planting and making a small garden. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing I have spent a small fortune on plants that will inevitably die and won't grow back next year. (I bet I've jinxed myself now!) I bought mostly perennials that'll come back next year, and have mostly got shaded plants as I'm in quite a shady area with all the big evergreen trees. I have however bought some herbs, Oregano, Basil and some mint, and have planted them today, which I have just realized they need full sun not partial. I'm just hoping they won't die on me, anyone got any tips?

We also bought a new garden swing which took us ages to put up, but it's nice to sit out in our patio and enjoy the sun. Too bad summer is nearly over.

I just got this e-vite through my email the other day, from a local Seattle news station about a local blogger meet up to be held in August. It sounds like fun meeting some local bloggers, I might end up going if Clayton can get the time off.

I got my Green Card in the mail the other day everything is correct this time no name screw up, can't believe I had to wait an extra 5mths for them to change a name. Speaking of Immigration guess I have to save more money than I thought to file for my citizenship. This was in my local paper this morning "Fees to apply for naturalization will rise substantially Monday — up to $675 from $400. Most other application fees, including the cost of permanent resident status, are set to increase, too." What the heck and get this "Applications for permanent resident status, commonly known as a green card, will cost $1,010, more than 2½ times the current fee of $395." That's just ridiculous. I'm all for paying the fees and such, I mean I really have no choice if I wanna be with Clayton. But to raise it that much, inflation sucks! I hope processing times will become shorter, but I doubt it.

I guess I have 10 years for me to think about putting money by, and start saving. We really can't afford it right now as we are both in school and are trying to save for the move to Texas. Hopefully when we both settle down in good jobs I can start thinking about citizenship. I tell you at those fees I'm sure it'll put a lot of people off.

I have a new addiction to the Internet it's called Facebook thanks to my sister Sarah who got me into it. I wonder if this is the new craze for many people right now. It's strange how many Internet crazes you go through first I was into forums specifically Lovingyou still like to go there from time to time. Then it was MSN groups, then making Blinkies in PSP which I still like to do, but not as much. My website which I need to update and hopefully remodel in the fall in my web design class. Then it was MySpace and Flickr. Oh and lets not forget my blog which isn't much of a craze for me right now but is more of a necessity to keep my family and friends in the loop of my life.

Speaking of life, what's been going on here. Well I got my grades back; a while ago actually but haven't blogged about them. I got 3 As and a B+ and I hit the honors list again for last quarter. I'm taking my summer class Typography, which is pretty neat. So I'm in school Tuesdays and Thursdays. Been doing some of my Scrapbooking and I have also been studying for my drivers permit.

I got an email the other day saying that my new Green Card is on the way, let's hope they don't screw up the name this time. It's taken 5mths total for them to change my name, got to love immigration. We had a lovely 3 Year anniversary can't believe it's been that long already thanks for all the congrats. I'm sure the next 3yrs will go by just as quick.

I'm back from San Diego I had an awesome time. It was great to have a vacation and get away from finals and computer screens. It was so strange to see Palm trees all around instead of evergreen trees, the beaches were amazing (I put my feet in the Pacific Ocean) . The hotel was great top class!

On Saturday we spent some time with my friends brothers and their wives. Sunday we went to San Diego Zoo, we had free tickets from the hotel after doing a survey for them. The zoo is huge and is mostly uphill but nevertheless we had a great time seeing all the animals.

On Monday we traveled to Los Angeles to go to Disneyland we had an amazing time. We got there at like 8am, when the park opened and it was super busy. The first ride we went on we won free "fast passes" to get on rides without waiting in line. Score!! We got on a bunch of rides without waiting more then 10 minutes. We got to see 2 parades which were spectacular Disneyland really goes all out for their parades. Towards the evening the lines were dying down so we went on this one ride that was a water ride (which we should have gone on during the day as it was super warm) We got soaked from head to toe and I ended up buying a Disneyland jacket to keep me warm a souvenir none the less. We then went on this massive roller coaster which went upside down, that was awesome so funny afterwards when we both saw our picture. Towards 9pm we saw the electrical parade which was followed with some fireworks. After 14hrs of being a at Disneyland we decided to leave. Being hyper at 10pm we thought we'd go looking for the Hollywood sign with no prevail we thought we'd head back to the hotel.

On Tuesday we spent most of the day at the Beach relaxing (got a great tan) then headed to this place called Old Town where we got to see this old house called The Whaley House, which is apparently haunted.

Wednesday we headed home once we got back into Washington I met Clayton half way and we both went away for a few days together. Clayton really missed me while I was away and even though I had an amazing time I really missed him also. Our Wedding anniversary is July 6th can't believe we've been married 3 years now.

Here are some of my favourite photos of the trip you can see all of them here.

Finals are over!!! I've done great in my exams and I'm thinking I have 2As and 2Bs fingers crossed. I'm mentally exhausted and can't wait for tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm heading to California with a girlfriend which was totally unplanned. I had a phone call this morning asking if I'd like to go, all expenses paid (except for plane fare). I jumped at the chance, I've never been to another State in the US and can't wait. I leave tomorrow for a week, I'm going to Hollywood!! aaahh!! I'll take loads of pictures I'll blog when I get back. See you all.

Well I did, we did it, we finally met up with a younger couple and had a BBQ. A friend from College is about the same age as me and is married, her husband is in the same age range as Clayton. They've been married for about 3yrs actually a month after Clayton and I got married. I took the first move so to speak and invited them for a double date to the movies. In response, instead of movies how about a BBQ. Sure (gulp) it's so much harder for me to make friends with people my own age, I don't have much problem making friends with older people. But when it comes to my age group I kind of fall flat on my face. So Clayton and I went to the local park where they were having a BBQ, we had a great time and got to know some of their friends. Played some Volley Ball which I've never played in my life (and yes I have bruises up my arm to prove it)

I'm being nagged by my sister who wants me to post an update, so here you go sis and for anyone else who is interested. We got a kitten, about two weeks ago my friend said her friend had some kittens she was giving away, and did I want one. Clayton and I talked it over and thought it would be fun to have another cat, and would actually give Liza some company during the day. So we picked a girl and named her Coal-Dust, Clayton actually named her he thought she looked like she'd been in the coal bin. This is a picture of her with a load of Cobb webs on her, I don't know where she'd been but I swear my house isn't that dirty!!

Coal-Dust:- With her 2 marks on her chin and nose it looks like she's been in the coal bin.

A week ago I had my Induction Ceremony for the Phi Theta Kappa it was a bigger deal than I thought. When my name was called I had to walk on stage, they gave me a rose and a candle, and everyone had to light their candle. At the end we had to say the oath of the sororitie. I couldn't believe I didn't have a camera with me, it would have been so great to take a picture for everyone back home. Unfortunately I didn't know how big of a deal it was until the evening. Afterwards, Clayton took me out for dinner to celebrate my achievement.

College is going good, the quarter is nearly over June 13th is my last day. Then it's summer, even though I'm taking a summer class. I however won't be working at the museum during the summer as apparently work-study only goes through the school year. So I have been wondering weather I should find a job for 2 months or not work and have a break. Clayton is bringing in enough money but it's always nice to have a little more. I'm debating about it really half of me feels I should work the other half of me feels like I deserve a break.

Last Sunday I had Clayton's family over for breakfast, for Mother's Day. I haven't really hosted that much, so it was nice. It went really well, might do it again soon. Tomorrow we are all meeting to celebrate a double celebration of Clayton's Birthday (which was yesterday) and my achievement with my grades. We are going to the Olive Garden for dinner, I love that place.

Being a student in the USA has been a challenge; from meeting new friends to even understanding the grading system. The most recent is being sororities, because I'm now an "Honor student" I've been officially invited to the Phi Theta Kappa - The International Honor Society. I'm trying to understand what's involved and if it's worth it for me to become a member. If I'm not mistaken there are social sororities and academic ones, this one I've been invited to is a academic one which can help members find jobs after they graduate and even scholarships are offered. I feel very honored to be invited, and if this will help me get a scholarship for my BA that will be great. I will continue researching to help my decision I have to submit the application by Wednesday. If anyone is a member please let me know of your experience.

My classes are going really well, I'm a little overwhelmed with all the work I have with 4 classes. I'm thinking of cutting back my work schedule so I can focus more on my homework, we'll see. I'm even tutoring a woman in my class, as she's having a hard time with the work. I said I'd help her as much as I could, but if I have too much work then I'd have to stop to focus on my stuff. My name was in the local paper Saturday for the honor list, so I kept one for me and my mum.

On Saturday Clayton and I went to the Tulip Fields it was nice to get out and about, it was the first time in a long while where Clayton had a Saturday off. We went last year and had such a great time, this year we went and also stopped by the local town to look around the shops and have lunch. I found another British Tea Shop with British goodies, so I now know where to go if I need a good lift.

I'm so looking forward to May 11th I've booked myself in for lovely long hour massage at the Student massage therapy center. It's so cheap; for an hour I only pay $25, which is so good I can't wait!

I need an opinion from my readers: Today my friend offered me a good deal on a Welsh Corgi she offered me the chance of picking one out of the litter, seeming I'm Welsh she thought I'd like one. I didn't even think they were being bred over here. Anyway I'd love to have one, it's just Clayton is a little apprehensive about the small cottage we live in. I did ask the landlord and he said that it would be okay.

I guess our place is a little small for a dog, but Corgi's are small in size anyways. There's the added responsibility of having a dog. But gosh it would be so good to be active and go out seeming this area is so active around us. However there's the added problem of the animal being on it's own, well for the rest of this quarter. In the summer I'll be around a lot, but then it goes back to being unpredictable until I graduate.

I don't know, just wanted to know what everyone thought. I know it's really up to us but opinions are still nice good/bad.

Update: Clayton and I decided not to get the puppy, for a number of reasons really. Mainly because we just don't have the time, and costly. My friend said she breeds all the time and if we wanted one in the future she'd be happy to keep one for us.

It's amazing to look back at your life and see just how much you've changed over the years. Before I met Clayton I was in a technical college not really giving a dam about education, I never liked it, when I was in comprehensive school (high school) my grades were terrible and I'd always try to get days off. But now here I am wanting to go to school, wanting to get an education and doing something I love. My hard work so far has paid off, I received a letter from the college yesterday stating that my outstanding performance last quarter (which by the way I had 2 As and a B+) has earned me recognition of "Dean's List Scholar". Which also means I can apparently apply to graduate with honors, given that my G.PA stays an average 3.50 my cum is 3.54 right now and last quarter my G.PA was 3.67. Doesn't this make you proud mother :) It makes me very proud.

Tuesday, April 03, 2007

Well it was nice while it lasted, Spring break is over and it's back to studying. My classes look really fun, but a lot of work. I'm taking Art 261 Raster Illustration- Adobe Photoshop, Art 260 Vector Illustration- Adobe Illustrator, CS120 HTML fundamentals, and Art 150 History of Photography. My whole week is comprised with Classes and work, I might have to cut back on my work during the week especially during midterm and finals. This quarter is going to be a lot of hard work, but I'm really looking forward to starting the graphic, web design aspect, as well as the photography class.

Not much else is going on, we started to take flyer's to the pawn shops to try and see if we can find the items that were stolen from us (see previous post) nothing found yet.

Oh yeah and what the hell is going on with the weather? Where is Spring? We had freaking snow on Monday!!

Friday, March 30, 2007

Clayton's working a late night shift and I'm sitting here, lonely and very nervous. I'm normally fine when Clayton works late, but knowing what I now know it's hard to relax. Unfortunately we were robbed yesterday, they were very meticulous and picked the lock to our cottage. Clayton and I didn't have any clue until our neighbors said they were robbed stealing most of their jewelry and such. We didn't notice anything was taken until we went to go and charge our new cell phones, we couldn't find them.

We then started looking around, they took one of our old cell phones (lucky the contract was canceled) 4 chargers 2 of them were our old ones and the other 2 were the new ones. Guess they took all of them to be sure the cell phone could work. Then going into our bedroom and stealing Clayton's watch from his bedside table; the watch I bought him for Christmas a couple of years back, that I had engraved. My Great Grandmothers gold ring, that my mother gave to me before I emigrated. The ring was special to me, my mum gave it to me as it was engraved with Jewish writing "MIZPAH" which meant "The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another" So as you can imagine I'm quite upset about that. They also took a Silver Welsh necklace I had for my Birthday from a family friend.

So late last night we had the Sheriff come by to take a report, he said it's not a bad idea to go around the pawn shops in the next couple of days to see if they turn up there. Lets hope we can find the jewelry, but I'm not holding my breath.

So now I'm looking at the clock waiting for Clayton to come home, waiting, and waiting.

Friday, March 23, 2007

Yey finals are done! I feel like my brain is going to explode, it's been a hard quarter. My logic final was hard but I think I've done alright. I'm predicating a B for the class and my other 2 classes As. I'll know by Tuesday what my grades are, here's hoping! Next quarter is going to be very busy I'm taking 4 Classes, 3 graphic design classes and History of Photography which will be interesting. I'll be on the go between classes and work Mon-Friday.

Speaking of work, Clayton finally got a full time job at a local hardware store. 40hrs a week good benefits. It's great that we have money coming in, finally. So he's pretty busy with work and taking his degree online.I have this coming week off I'm hoping to just be able to relax and work on my Scrapbooking and taking some photos. Haven't had much time for anything lately, been so busy with school and work. It'll be nice to have a break.

Had a bit of bad news on Wednesday my mum called to tell me that one of my comprehensive school teachers died in a car accident. I used to have him for English and History, it was very sad to hear the news.

Today we went to Seattle to celebrate Saint Davids Day, the Seattle Welsh Women's Club always holds a Saint Davids day concert. It was nice to be able to celebrate such an important day of my culture, there was the Seattle Welsh choir along with Welsh folk music. Afterwards there was a Welsh tea, with Welsh cakes and a raffle. This year Clayton's uncle came a long to check out the concert, we all had a great afternoon. Even greater when Clayton's uncle won the raffle, a gift basket full of Welsh/British goodies. I was quite jealous that he won, but kindly enough he gave me the basket of goodies.

Here is a picture of what we won, we had British McVities Biscuits, Welsh Tea, Heinz Sticky Toffee Pudding, a Welsh T-Shirt, Welsh Socks a couple of books including a very interesting book called Wales of 100 Years Ago.

Well the verdict is in I do have PCOS- Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome I went to see the specialist this past week. She has put me on medication, Metorphin, this should help me with the problem. However, it's not a cure. She also mentioned it was up to me if I wanted to come off the Birth Control Pill to see if I can ovulate with Metorphin. Then at least I'll know for sure, so we can explore the options out there when we are ready to start a family. It's a relieve to finally know.

In my other news I got an email from the USCIS stating that they have approved my 10-year Green Card. I should receive it in the mail in the next 30-days. I'm glad immigration is done for a while, I will be applying for citizenship when we've finally settled down with a good job and such. Hopefully we'll accomplish those goals within 10yrs, I'm hoping much sooner than that.

Update: Guess what I received my 10 year Green Card in the mail today, I was all excited until I read the name. They issued my card in my Maiden name not my married, how can they screw up so bad, seeming my other card is in my married name. So because of their mistake I have to fill out another form and wait another 6-8mths to get my card. They are just making more work for themselves. If I have to go back to Seattle for yet another interview I'll be so ticked.

Wednesday, February 14, 2007

Well I survived the midterms-barely. The logic midterm was postponed until today, so I was up until late memorizing logical forms. I got up early to a large dose of caffeine to study some more before the test. The test went better than I expected I knew all of the hard types of questions and got all of them correct, the ones I completely goofed on were the easier ones. How is that possible?? Overall I got a B for the midterm which is good, however, it could have been great if I didn't have a complete brain freeze. When my teacher started to point out why they were wrong I was like "Oh no, how could I have missed that" I knew the answers, and if I just sat and thought before putting down the first thing that came into my head I would have had it.

I've been pondering over this for the rest of the day and my poor husband is getting tired of hearing my obsessive disappointment. I can't help it though, I'm just so frustrated that I missed them, I guess I studied so much on the harder stuff I didn't look over the other parts to refresh my memory. My husband did try and cheer me up with some roses and a Silver charm necklace for Valentines. We had a nice romantic meal this evening and a nice bottle of wine, which helped me relax enough to take my mind off the midterm for oh, at least an hour.

Happy Valentines

Thursday, February 01, 2007

It's hard to believe that today is February 1st where has January gone? It's passed me by with endless nights of studying fueled by double shots of caffeine. What the heck was I thinking when I signed up for a philosophy Logic class! My morning consists of a double shot Americano which pretty much prepares me for class. An hour later I'm begging for a triple tall Americano with two migraine pills. This next week I might as well get caffeine induced as it's midterm week, if anyone can help with Logical forms please help! What the heck does all this crap mean anyway... All A are B All B are C therefore all A are C.

If you don't see a post next month then I'm probably in a caffeine coma. Wish me luck eh!

Thursday, January 11, 2007

Ok so I didn't post the next day, I'm just a lazy blogger. I don't know It's just hard to get motivated to post these days, I have so much going on in my life right now it's hard to find the time to write an interesting post.

My top 3 list of resolutions are...

1. To post on my blog more (I hope)
2. To lose a little more weight (Always one of my resolutions)
3. To learn to drive (That's something I've been saying for a while)

Not a lot has been going on here, the first half of the week I had school, and then we started to have a lot more snow which caused school and college closures. Yesterday Clayton and I went out in the snow and made a cool snowman I'll have to get a picture. Not sure if we have classes tomorrow, if not I'll have like a 4 day weekend as Monday there is no classes ether due to the holiday. I've been thinking about what I will do after I finish my AA Degree I graduate next winter 08. I'm thinking of doing my BA with University of Phoenix Online in Visual Communications. Clayton's decided to go there for his BA and it looks like a good University plus it's online which would enable me to work as well. We aren't sure when we will be moving to Texas whenever Clayton finishes his BA degree.

I had a dream the other day that we were already in Texas with a house of our own, and we were both working great jobs that we wanted to do in life. Things were going so good for us, we were even thinking of starting a family. I know it sounds all too perfect right; but you know I just figure we are the ones that will have to make the dream come true no one else. And we're going to have a good go at making it come true.

I'm back! I bet you all thought I'd retired and closed by blog early. I have much to say it's been little over a month since I last blogged. Christmas has come and gone, and now we are in the year 2007 I have a list of new year resolutions which I'm failing miserably at already. I'm back at college this week with a very intense schedule of classes I'm taking Speech, Philosophy Logic and a Printmaking class. I feel this quarter is all going to be about reading I have so many text books, funnily enough the picture on my blog is taken by me, I was studying earlier this week and thought I'd capture my hard work. Last quarter my grades were good I had 2 Bs and an A, so I really have to work hard this quarter to maintain those grades.

Our Christmas went well, went by too quickly though, if your part of my contacts on flickr you can get to see some of the Christmas pics. I had some nice presents this year, Clayton got me my favorite perfume, I had some nice kitchenware from Clayton's parents. Some great British treats and DVDs from family back home. Just before Christmas Clayton and I went to have some portraits done at Picture People, it was mainly for family back home. As I know we were greatly missed this year, it was strange to think that at the same time last year we were over for the 2005/06 Christmas. Anyway one of the portraits is up in the right hand corner of my blog, the rest I need to upload on flickr, so watch the space.

In other news I'm finally getting diagnosed with PCOS- Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, I had my blood work back and apparently I'm insulin resistant, I've also had a couple of ultrasounds this past couple of weeks. I have another appointment in February so hopefully I'll find out more, and at least get put on medication. Hopefully once I'm put on medication I can start getting my weight under good control, it's somewhat comforting to know that my weight issue is related to this disorder, and not something that I've personally done to myself.

That's it for now. I'll be posting my resolutions tomorrow, so don't forget to come back for a laugh now will you.
