I'm officially unemployed again, my boss calls this morning and says I've been looking at the hours and I just don't think it's going to work out. I went to see her, as I had a feeling I did something wrong, and she said no you did nothing wrong. It's not worth you coming down here for 8hrs a week, she said it was her fault she screwed up the scheduling. So I said well why did you hire me in the first place, her response was "I just wanted to hire you so bad" I'm so pissed off, as when I was hired I was promised I'd get at least 20hrs a week, and she gave me 8. I would never have taken the job if I knew it was just 8hrs.

Clayton's job interview went okay, he should know by tomorrow or by the start of next week. I'm on the job hunt once again, hopefully our luck will change soon. Oh well at least we're together, and not 6000 miles apart.

Had a package off my mum this morning, with a nice large Easter Egg. The US don't have the big boxed Easter Eggs out here, so my mum send me one.

I'm feeling a lot better, I'm still sniffling and coughing. Yesterday my boss sent me home from work, I spend 2hrs on the Bus to be sent home. My boss doesn't want me spreading germs to the members, she told me to come in when my cold is fully gone. I was pretty peeved, as I don't have very many hours anyway and now I won't have any this week. I'm thinking I should get a better job, I'm looking for another part time job. Clayton's interview is tomorrow, he's pretty nervous but hopeful, fingers crossed hey.

Been watching Eastenders on KBTC which I believe is a Canadian channel, they just started airing them on Tuesday & Thursday nights, they are about 5yrs behind, but it's fun to watch all the episodes again.

Easter Sunday was mostly spend in bed recovering, Clayton ended up going to his parents and bringing dinner home for me.

Got this really nice Easter plant off Clayton's mom though, Calla Lilly's they should open up more in the next few weeks. I'll take a picture when they are more open.

Finished working for this week, don't go back to work till Tuesday. The CPR class was okay, some things were different to what I had learned back in the UK, like the recovery position was different. There were about 12 people from different Curves around the area, and all the girls were like "Aww you've got such a cute accent" it's fun to get all the attention, I'm actually teaching some of my work colleagues some British words, well it was kinda by accident. Some of the girls and I were talking and I said "I'm so chuffed" and they were like huh? I had to explain to them what it meant, found this English-American dictionary to make it clearer for them.

"chuffed adj. Someone who describes themselves as being chuffed is generally happy with life. You can also get away with saying you are unchuffed or dischuffed if something gets your back up. Make sure you only use this word in the correct tense and familiarize yourself with the meaning of the word chuff too."

All the girls are going round the work-out circuit saying "I'm so chuffed" funny huh ;) I'm hoping to get together with them soon, one of the girls does Scrapbooking with Creative Memories. I'd really like to start one for Clayton, and me like the story of how we met online and such. I have so many things from our relationship and thought it would be really cool to put them in a Scrapbook.

I can't believe in a months time I would have been in the US for a year, I emigrated over here May 4th. It's gone by so quick, I really hope Clayton and I can go back to the UK for Christmas this year. I'm really missing everyone back home, my niece is 5 on the 31st of March and I won't be going to her party. I was telling Clayton the other day, that when people notice my accent the whole story comes out on why I moved here and such. And then everyone goes, "I can't believe you moved and left your family, I could never do that." It's like a constant reminder of what I left behind. I don't mind the attention but sometimes it's just very hard to deal with.

Got fed up with the other layout, it wasn't my best so I tried again and this is what I came up with. I think it's pretty good, so I'm going to stick with this one for a while.

Life in Washington has been fine, my new job is going well it kinda sucks that it's only 8hrs. I thought the little hours was just for training but it turns out a lady who started a week before me has been getting 30hrs. I just can't afford to live on 8hrs a week, so I'm going to talk to my boss and see about getting more hours, if not I'm going to get another part time job. It's nice to hang out with some women again, I get on really well with my work colleagues and we have a laugh.

The other day I was watching one of the girls, sign someone up and one of the questions on the sign up sheet is why do you want to join Curves? The women replied "Because my husband said I was fat" We were both in shock and didn't know what to say, as the lady wasn't at all overweight. I felt so lucky to have a husband who will love me for me, no matter what size I wear.

Last Wednesday night we went out to dinner with Clayton's family, they wanted to congratulate me on my new job, so that was nice. Then on Friday Clayton had a day off se we went to see the Ring 2, it was pretty good. Not as scary as the first one, but I still enjoyed it.

Ooh Wales won the 6 Nations Rugby cup on Saturday, they were competing against Ireland. The total score was 32-20, the first time since 1983, I wish I was there to feel the atmosphere around my town. You can read the article here.

Tomorrow I have work from 3-7pm, I then have a CPR First Aid course from 7-9pm. So it'll be a long evening, I didn't like the fact that I had to pay the $30 for it, I'm not made of money here.

Below is some photos of our Bed and Bathroom all redecorated.

New blog layout, it's taken me ages, and it's still not what I wanted but it'll do.

Wow been a while since I posted, it's been about a week ago now since I started my new job. I've been training, at the moment my boss has got me down for 2 days a week, Tuesday and Wednesday 3-7pm. I believe those hours are just for training and then hopefully they'll go up. There's a lot to memorize, like the price plan and all the different programs. Basically I'm a 'Sale's Person' I sign women up on our program, and give them a figure analysis, which is basically weighing and measuring them and setting some weight loss goals. I then show them the exercise machines and and go through a work out with them.

I worked 3 days last week, which wasn't too bad. I had to catch the bus into town, first time I really caught the bus from our place. It takes about an hour and a half on the bus, which is quite a long ride, but I'm working on my getting my learners permit very soon.

I went to the doctors last Wednesday for a checkup as I'm now covered by Clayton's medical insurance. I've been feeling very tired lately, and have been having quite a few headaches, so Clayton wanted me to have a check up. My Blood Pressure was very high, 140/104, so the doctor was really worried about that, he wanted me to have some blood test's done, which I had on Saturday. I should know the results soon, he also mentioned if I suffered from Depression. I haven't in the past, but it is a possible factor, I have had a lot of stressful things to contribute to it. I'll know more in the next couple of days, but it is worrying.

Anyway's that's about it here, I finally managed to finish redecorating our Bedroom and Bathroom, I need to take a few pictures for everyone to see.

Hi everyone, I'm back. Our computer had some problems our hard drive went, luckily I backed up a lot of my information and pictures. So we took it to be repaired, and we also put some upgrades on it like more memory and XP instead of ME. Clayton's parents paid for the upgrades, as well as a new printer as we were still having problems with our Lexmarks. We bought a lovely HP Printer. Which is working like a dream.

On Sunday Clayton and I went to Seattle for the Saint Davids Day concert, it was really good. I really enjoyed listening to the Seattle Welsh Choir, they sang many Welsh hymns. I also met many other Welsh people, a lot of them emigrated many years ago, but thier accent is so strong. I got a little homesick by all of the Welsh accents and the traditions. After the concert there was a Welsh tea, along with a craft stall and Raffle. I spend the afternoon taking pictures, as I'm now in charge of the Website, so I'm going to be putting many of the pictures up on their site.

But here's a little pic of me dressed up for the day...

After we left, Clayton and I decided to go on a hunt for a local British store. We tried to find it before, but didn't have much luck, this time we did. It's called 'The British Pantry' and is the best British store I've come across since being here. Their restaurant is like a British style pub, which is really cool, we stopped for some dinner, and then headed home.

Last Tuesday we finally had our Car back, it's all fixed up quite nice. I was a bit sad to let go of our nice rental car, we had a lovely Buick Lesabre. I think we are going to save up for a new car for the future. Below is a picture of our rental car we had...

On a last note, I got a job!! The lady from Curves. called me today, and offered me the job. How great is that, I start tomorrow at 9am to train. This is a great confidence booster for me, as I'll be more focused to lose the weight. This is such a perfect job for me.

Just to let everyone know, we are having computer problems at the moment, so that's why I haven't updated. Things are going okay here, still surviving that's the main thing. I hope everyone has a great weekend, Clayton and I are going to Seattle on Sunday for my Welsh Womens Saint Davids day service, and I'm dressing up as a Welsh Lady. Will take loads of pics for everyone to see.

Will blog when our Computer is up and running again.
