Wow has it truly been a week since my last post, I have to start blogging more. Well my week has been pretty good, as you know I went Christmas shopping on Monday. Got a lot of presents that I wanted to get, we also got a lot of Christmas Decorations for our place. After going shopping I felt more in the Christmas mood. While I was shopping I met a lovely couple who were from England, they had a stall in the mall and we got talking. They've been here in Washington for over 40yrs now, and they still have their British Accents. Hopefully I won't lose my Welsh Accent over time.

The new furniture is working out rather well, I bought some nice throws for them on Monday as well as some nice cushions in Target. Thanks Joy for the tip :)

From Tuesday to Saturday I Babysat so I haven't had a lot of time. Speaking of Babysitting I'm thinking of putting in an application to the State for them to pay me for the Child Care that I've been doing. I don't think they pay all that much, but every little helps.

On Tuesday I received my Welcome letter from the Immigration Department. Welcoming me to the United States as a Permanent Resident. It said I'd receive my Green Card in about 3wks. Then on Saturday guess what I got.. My Green Card. Yey I can't believe I've got it, and the card looks really cool too. It has my picture and fingerprint with all my information on it. The card is also Holographic it has the Statue of Liberty, and the Eagle. I was going to take a picture of the card, but it didn't turn out as good as I hoped. So I'm working on trying to draw a copy of it in PSP. I thought it would be good to post it on the site.

Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday, my first Thanksgiving in the USA. Clayton and I are going down his parents for the traditional Thanksgiving meal. And I'm actually making a traditional English Trifle for desert. Speaking of Holidays, Clayton managed to get Boxing Day off, the Day after Christmas. I was so happy he managed to get it off.

Guess what we've bought this weekend, I'm all excited. We bought a 3 seat Sofa and Love Seat. We saw it on Friday afternoon driving around, they were outside an Antique store in town. So we stopped and had a look, and asked the guy how much was he willing to let them go for. He said it would be $75 for the Love Seat and $200 for the set. They were both in pretty good shape, and looked really nice. We were originally going to get just the Love Seat, as we have a small place and didn't know if the other one would fit. But we measured the place last night and it looked like it would all fit quite nice. So we called Clayton's dad to see if he could help out and pick it up with his pick up truck. So today Clayton's uncle and dad went to go and pick them both up for us, and put them in our place. Tomorrow we are going Christmas Shopping, which I'm looking forward too. Clayton and I are going to get some Christmas house decorations.

Not much going on here, been Babysitting the little one again. Had the last 2 day's off, and spend most of those days working on my website. I've nearly finished revamping my new Domain, so I'll post the link on here, when it's done for everyone to see.

Went Christmas shopping at the weekend, needed to get a few things for everyone back home. Seeming Christmas is like under 6wks away now, I didn't do half of what I wanted to do though, so Clayton and I are going out this coming Monday to get most of it done. I did find something interesting though, while I was browsing in one of the Christmas stores in the Mall I found some Christmas Crackers. I was so thrilled to see something from the UK in a Holiday Store. I thought it was funny the way they titled them "English Christmas Crackers" plus it had the whole history of them on the back. Speaking of Christmas, it's so going to be hard being away from my family. My mum always says to make your own Christmas now, but it's not going to be the same. Plus Clayton is probably going to be working Christmas Eve, and Boxing Day. I know the USA doesn't celebrate Boxing Day, but I was kinda hoping I wouldn't be on my own that much over the Christmas Period. Clayton has asked for that day off in work, but it's very unlikely that he'll get it off. Here's hoping.

Clayton and I are back on the Diets, or more like Healthy eating. I've put on so much weight since I emigrated. I've read a lot of articles about people putting on quite a lot of weight after emigrating, so I'm glad it's not just me. I comfort eat a lot, and when I get homesick I tend to eat the wrong foods. But I've eaten so much, I'm starting to feel it in my clothes. So I have to lose something, we went out grocery shopping this evening to stock our fridge with fruits and veg.

Been thinking the last couple of days, of what I should do with my life as in work/job. A lot of people keep asking me are you going to get a job now that you can work. So my answer is yes, but not right now, I'm going to carry on with the babysitting as I'm getting pretty good money. I'm going to try and save up enough money to learn how to drive, that way I can get around a lot more and find myself a better job in town. I have been studying the drivers ed book, so I'm getting there slowly. I'm a bit nervous to actually start to drive though, Clayton said he'd take me out soon so I'll tell you how I do.

Talked to a lot of people back home this week. I called two of my friends, to chat and catch up with the news back in Wales. I talked to Sarah my big sister for like 2hrs yesterday which was nice. Just talked to my mum today, she's send me another package through the mail. This time it has a DVD that my dad recorded for me with all UK shows on it. Cool I can't wait to watch it, my mum made a comment that she left all the UK Adverts/commercials on there for me. So I'd have a taste of home.
