A new blog layout and a new chapter to my life. I've done a lot of soul searching since I graduated from college. I've been having trouble finding a job that fits my qualifications, had a few interviews but nothing came of them. Then last week I went to a local company for an interview and I got the job. I know your all saying congratulations, but it's not even to do with my degree. It's a Typesetter position nothing to do with graphic design or web design. The job is only seasonal, and the money isn't that bad. However, I just feel like I've wasted the last 2 years getting my degree and I'm not even using my talents. Many people I know are saying that I should still do the job, "you never know who you might meet" and I will go for the job not because I want too but because we could use the money. It would be great if I could find a junior graphic design job where I live, but that is highly unlikely. A lot of the jobs are in the big city and even then they are requiring a BA and 3-5yrs experience. But how can you get the experience if no one will hire you?? I have been thinking of getting my BA online like Clayton is, but we just don't want to be stuck with two student loans. I start my new job Monday not looking forward to it, maybe the scheduling won't work and I'll have to look for something else.
My graduation ceremony is June 13th, I have to buy my cap and gown. I'm looking forward to that, just wish I knew that my hard work would have paid off.
In other news I'm trying to lose weight and get fit, I've been working out with Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds. I've been doing really good lost 8lbs and I feel much better in myself.
